He wanted 500 each back then, which seemed like a lot at the time for me, but everything is relative I guess. The owners manual is available at mods. Heres one i'll most likely regret selling. Its a National model LF-10, series 92,s n, low frequency unit that was designed to be used with the HRO-500 receiver.

They're quite rare and difficult to find in good condition, most often are missing their interface cable. I've been using it here with my series 88 HRO-500 shown in the first image, and really makes a difference if you're lower. You are buying only on the LF-10.

Interesting story about the receiver is that 25 years ago I bought 6 brand new HRO-500's, military designated, still in their wood en crates, hermetically sealed plastic bags, from a guy on west coast. He had 20 more, and in retrospect, i'd wish bought everyone.
