It's designed to be used out doors, but can also be used in doors. The tuner was designed to be used with either a single wire antenna, or a coaxial cable fed antenna.

I've added a 4/1 balun, allowing you to optionally use ladder line or other open wire feed line for the antenna. There are no internal modifications, the balun connects to the single wire terminal and it can be quickly disconnected if you don't want to use the balun.

This is an Mfj 927 auto tuner, rated at 200w pep, for 160 through 10 meters. This is a great tuner to use with a vacation station or your home station where you won't exceed 200 watts output.
