There is one small modification. As you can see from the photos, this speaker is in above average condition for this model, but it is not perfect.

Really sounds good in high fidelity mode as well as the communications mode. Here is a nice vintage Hallicrafters r 44 communications speaker in working condition.

I do not charge for packing and my packing is second to none.

Still, much better condition than you usually see the r 44 speaker. Why, I do not know. The tone switch has been cleaned with exit and works properly.

There are several nicks and some scratches on the top front. The speaker and all components appear to be original.

Sold as is but guaranteed to be as described. It is not noticeable and is wired in parallel with the speaker terminals.
