This is a vintage USN radio I have.

The dav has an internal direction finding antenna.

This is what I found on the unit.

It is similar in capabilities to the signal corps hand talkie, but technically superior. I dont know anything about it, other than what I have found on the old inter web.

The dav is basically the same as the navy's MBA radio used by para marines.
