This item you are considering is from the estate of my very dear friend,now. Production chokes may not meet the inductance stamped on their name plates.

It is a pretty heavy duty filter choke. The choke under test is set up in a lab and those measurements then transferred to the factory floor, a leaf or two more or less in production won't alter the design specs all that much, the number of turns on the coil can pretty much be determined by the winding machine, the size of wire determines its current carrying and heat dissipation capacity.
